Gerocare has been selected to pitch at the Techpoint Build in Lagos, this January. The startup co-founded by Bruce Lucas, a Port-Harcourt based developer, is a platform that provides regular medical doctor visits to the elderly in the comfort of their home as a subscription service
The health service delivery platform, after being narrowed from initial entries of over 200 startups, joins 9 other startups at the Techpoint Build’s PitchStorm segment. Techpoint Build is Techpoint’s annual event featuring trainings for Startups on team building, marketing, PR and how to get investment for your business. The selected startups will compete for a cash prize of ₦1,000,000 (equity-free).
Mypadi.ng, a startup run by Joel Amahwe, helping students and young professionals find suitable accommodation, is also scheduled to pitch. Others are Placements, the Footwear Academy and Legitcar.
According to the Techpoint team, the vital criteria for selecting the 9 startups were proper structure, visible traction, well-identified customer base. Selected startups will also be part of a Bootcamp in Lagos
