Musiccloud, a music and beat distribution platform for emerging artistes, DJs and producers has recently relaunched as Caketunes.
In a statement released by Caketunes CEO and co-founder, Ability Elijah, the relaunch of the Port-Harcourt based startup, comes with exciting new features for its new 1.4 version. One of such features is “Beats Core”, an e-market for beats which gives users a convenient platform to buy and sell beats at a very affordable rate. Also, Caketunes users now have the ability to comment on & rate a track as well as like it- in a bid to move aspiring artistes to their zenith by getting them noticed/inherently discovered. Problems associated with the former version which included “PlayBack”, “Search”, “Upload speed” & “Progress Bar” have been resolved.
Caketunes has also revealed in its press statement that it is no longer serving only the Nigerian market but has expanded Africa wide as a result of requests from Ghanian and Kenyan artistes. Artistes signed up on Caketunes are offered a unique page where their uploaded content are displayed on caketunes.com. Users of Caketunes are also able to discover good, unusual music of a wide variety of genres on Caketunes “Discover” page.
Caketunes has also launched its new campaign titled “The Music In Me”. This campaign is designed to give users the opportunity to talk about themselves, what they feel about music/the impact of music in their lives and also, their musical preferences as well as personal musical legends who have inspired them on their journeys so far. You can join in this campaign using the hashtag #TheMusicInMe. This campaign is themed: Talk You, Talk Music, Talk Legends.
Caketunes went live on August 26, 2017 as musiccloud.com.ng and was founded by Ability Elijah (CEO) and co-founder, Light Nduka (Brand developer), who both founded CakeTunes out of love for music. Lovers of music and emerging artistes not just in Port-Harcourt but all around Africa can now showcase and listen to their works without much hassle
