Spread the love

Windows is a popular operating system on most of our laptops and computers except for the Macbook users. Microsoft recently rolled out their Windows 10 creators update in April 2017 to bring out the creator and creativity in you. The Fall Creators Update is expected in September.

Here are some of the top features-

Microsoft Personal Assistant had some improvements this time, a new feature was added which enables a user to use the voice command while setting up your windows 10. Pc must be internet enabled to make use of this feature. It’s a neat addition, but you can always use your keyboard and mouse instead of your voice if you want to set up Windows 10 in a more traditional manner.

Gamers will love this new addition to windows 10. With this new Game mode feature, windows automatically gives priority to the game launched, closing every background app to free up more RAM for the game, giving you the best possible gaming experience.

The Game Mode is optional, you can toggle it On or Off.

This new feature will be fancied more by the night crawlers. A study shows that high exposure to blue light before going to bed will cause circadian rhythms disorder, aka a negative impact towards sleeping at night. By using the night light setting, it will adjust the display to show warmer color and thus help you sleep.

Paint 3D

The Paint 3D is a new Painting App launched alongside the Windows Creators Update. With Paint 3D, you can create 3D images easily and also editing existing ones. Online sharing of 3D images is also available. Down side is that you only get to enjoy this feature more if you have a touchscreen enabled device and most especially a Stylus Pen

Microsoft is tweaking its Edge browser with the Creators Update. A new feature lets you set tabs aside and save them for use later on. It’s essentially a method to save a snapshot of your current browser window. If you’re a heavy user of tabs then it’s a welcome feature, but for everyone else the new buttons that enable the feature are likely to be confusing.

You can now use your Microsoft Edge as a default PDF reader.

One of the smaller changes in Windows 10 Creators Update will have a big impact for those wishing to better control updates. You can now pause updates for a week, or configure active hours in Windows 10 for up to 18 hours a day. This should reduce complaints about Windows 10 automatically rebooting machines for updates, and provide the ability for users to control them better.

Overall, the Creators Update doesn’t have a lot in it and isn’t nearly as comprehensive as last year’s Anniversary Update. Microsoft has another major update planned for September 2017, which should include a lot of notable new features and design improvements such as the  Eye Tracking, a technology that will allow users with compatible hardware to fully access their computers with just their eyes. It was developed during the Microsoft Hackathon two years ago and is currently still in testing
