More drama for Etisalat as the parent company located in Abu-Dhabi has terminated its management agreement with its Nigerian arm, Etisalat Nigeria. It has given Etisalat Nigeria three weeks to phase out the use of its brand. The chief Executive of Etisalat International, Hatem Dowdar, made this disclosure on Monday.

In a statement released yesterday, Mr. Ibrahim Dikko, the Vice President, Regulatory and Corporate Affairs, EMTS said it would not affect the Company’s operations in Nigeria.  According to him, “The final outcome on the use of the brand in no way affects the operations of the business as our full range of services remain available to our customers,’’ he said.

Etisalat International has said it is in talks with Etisalat Nigeria to provide on-going technical support.
